About
CrossFit Carlisle is small training facility where you are guaranteed to get the most out of your workouts. You will not see rows and rows of cardio equipment, televisions, machines or spa treatments. What you will see is a carefully selected array of functional training equipment designed to maximize your fitness level. A trainer will be with you throughout your workout providing you with feedback on technique, form, safety and positive encouragement. Each class is limited in size in order to ensure that the trainer gives you the attention that you deserve. We are not bootcamps, we are personalized attention that ensures safety, progress and results for each client. Come down and see for yourself what makes us different.
Coached by Ashley Graham and Andy Pearson who are both CrossFit Level One Certified Trainers. We aim to teach constantly varied, functional movements which are carried out at high intensity. A typical group class consists of a warm up, some skill work or functional movement practise followed by a WOD (workout of the day) usually a TIMED (against the clock) or AMRAP (as many rounds as possbile) then a cool down, stretch and question and answer session. Personal Training sessions can be tailored to your individual needs so if you are training for a specific event, recovering from an injury or just want the one on one experience, PT is available at any time to suit your needs.
The following is CrossFit’s World-Class Fitness in 100 Words:
“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.”
